Hi Everyone,

as you will have noticed, there is a new look to our seo forum.

This isnt 100% finished yet, I still have some performance issues to sort out, so it will get a bit quicker over the next few days.

Why have I changed the look and feel?
I feel its important that our forum, is totally unique. The graphical look and feel of any site plays a big part in the overall user experience, and the templates that I built a year ago were good at the time, but are similar to other forums. The objective was to make seoforums.org a totally unique site and experience!

So, please let me know what you think, and any suggestions are welcome!

(If you HATE the new style, you can switch back to the old one, just choose the old style in the drop down in the bottom left hand corner of the forum)

Well MOG the new look of the SEOforums.org looks really good and unique from the traditional SEO forums. I think it will be trendsetter for all other forums .
Well actually I had some issues with the number of categories discussed here. I think we are totally neglecting the SEO of Yahoo and Bing, though Bing is powering the search results for Yahoo but they both need to be discussed here. Also I think there is no need for SEO India and SEO UK as category. Social Media Marketing is also an important topic we are missing. If I got any other issues I will let you know..

Ya I really like this new layout!

New stile ... little bit confusing but we will get use to it . looks very nice.

old layout was good enough for me.

i'd rather have that time spent on fixing the auto link plugin...

I'll vote if I love it or hate it after a few days of using it. As of now it's pretty new to me so I'm taking my time navigating around. Kudos to the effort Martin!

will give feedback after some time. let me check it out for few days......

look and feel is fine...but i have seen same type of design some where...need to check every thing

Well done - looks great!

Nice look but the reply boxes take too much space (with empty white)... a lot of scrolling down with only max two replies on the screen at any time. Feels a bit like a blog... but I'm sure I'll learn to like it once used to it?

can you please confirm that you can only see two replies? this thread for instance I am seeing 15 replies in one list....

if you can only see two there may be a bug I need to check out.

First Impressions. This looks a lot like IPB, but apparently you're still running vB.

Not sure about the postbit layout, it's a little too separated from the rest of the site.

Another thing, I'm not seeing which threads I've already posted in.

Yes I like this new layout. It is looks different from other forums.

NOTICE: forum reverted to the "old" style temporarily - I have noticed that the homepage does not render very well in Internet Explorer. Not that you should be using IE, its crap.

still 20% of our users do, so I cant have a fifth of people not getting the homepage correctly. The new "cool" theme will be back within a day or two, in the meantime, if you really want to use the nice new shiny one, you can select it from the drop down, on the bottom left hand corner.

FYI: it is 100% ok in firefox, chrome, opera and safari (also known as the "good" browsers).

Very nice and much improved. In my opinion, no problem with the reply box. Everything feels logical. It's a keeper.

It looks great but since I'm new I'll tell ya that when I came back it was difficult to navigate. Now I can find the forum but I had a little trouble. Just to letcha know! Thanks, Dave
