Getting email notifications for threads

Hiya!

I've been looking for a way to activate my email notificationw for threads which I'm subscribed to, how does this work? Cos I know half of the time I might forget and someone might ask me something specifically!
I've checked the settings and all but I couldn't find it, unless I was look for the wrong thing.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Oh wait, I think I've found it, at the botto of the page when your creating the thread. But it seems its only available when your the one that starts the thread, is that right?? Or is there another way??

I will activate it by default from the control panel mate.
