    Default Migrating from simple HTML site to large shopping cart. Will it hurt to start backlin

    We have been running a simple HTML site since 1995, and are upgrading the site with a shopping cart, and it will have 12000 more pages. Will starting our backlinking now be good or bad for google. I expect to temporarily drop some rankings when the new site goes live, so I'm not sure if I should wait to start a large backlinking effort.

    Suggestions please....

    no it doesn't matter about if you upgrade website.
