what is the difference between link:domain.xx and linkdomain:domain.xx ???

How to use them? What do they show?

As far as I know

link:domain.xx in Google and MSN shows the pages that link to a particular page

linkdomain:domain.xx is used by Yahoo, not Google, and collects all links reported for every page on the entire site (not a particular page)

linkdomain:xxx shows inbound link to the whole site.

To be honest I find the Google link tools not particularly accurate , I think you're much better looking at something like Yahoo explorer tool for links. It won't give you them all but it'll give you a better representative sample.

I also don't believe in such query but instead I use backlinks from Web master tools.

That link:domain is used to find the backlinks in Google and Bing and linkdomain:domain is used in Yahoo.

honestly, I also didn't know about this... that's why I made a research.

I found out that joesmith is right. Google and MSN/Bing uses the link: command to show all the backlinks while the linkdomain: command is used by Yahoo to show all backlinks to site in directory.
