Thread: can anybody specify here "What is Spam?"

I am new in Link Building.
sometime i am always get confuse with some post like "What is Spam?"

We are always talking about SPAM. but i am still in doubt.
I felt There is no clear definition of what can be considered Spam / Junk Email and what is not. then how we are saying or considering any thing as a spamming ?

Well...I don't think anybody actually say what is SPAM. There is not a single definition is perfect for it.

spam means generate thousands of backlinks in just few days so that's called spam.

Spamming is the thing that creating the unnecessary thing or link where there is no need of it. Putting the 200 links on a single page is spam.

Just like make a tons of backlinks within a day or in a week. thats count spam

Spam for me is like submitting your article in a particular site or directories over and over again to force the readers to accommodate your story even if it is the same content that they read from your site.

You can get a lot of backlinks in a short period of time without spamming. I use a simple rule, if the content you are putting out adds value, then it is not spam. I use high quality spins to increase the likelyhood that my content stays indexed. This content is readable and is regularly syndicated by other blogs.

Well....There is not a single proper definition to define SPAM.
But You can say : If user promoting links without considering webmaster conditions then you can called as a SPAM.

When it comes to forums like this, spamming is something like intentional promoting, flooding, nonsense post, or just wanted to make post for the sake of backlinks for signature.

When you put more link or you have added link in thous site where admin prohibited. Like in instant live blogs. in this the SEO person without adding there views they only add links of his site is called spamming.
