Boost your traffic, inbound links, through off page optimization like forum posting, blog commenting, article submission, social media marketing.

Have a look at all those sites in between yours and theres, check in alexa for their links, join some of those same sites, directories, forums etc that they have.

Try to get a link from one of those sites in between yours and theres, if not all of them, and ultimately getting a link from that top site.

Just visit and have a look around

You must do different building links in order to overcome your competitors, As many building links as possible and an effective keyword for your back links.

check your competitors' backlinks...
and do continuous link building...

first thing I suggest ignore the link that is in the first reply... I have seen it advertising on many other posts and that makes think they are ( SPAM)

Now here is a trick for you
Grab the website that is ranking #1 for your keyword, then simply analyse what they have done, learn from it (re-do to your website what they have done)
At the end you on page SEO shoudl rank the same as theirs

First of all you need to do your competitor analysis. what is there in his site that is not in your site, what he is doing, where they post the links and so on. Then try to place the link where your competitor have and accordingly do your SEO work. You definitely beat your competitor.

As you told you have done SEO it means you have done on-page optimization. Now it is time to find out the competitors strategy and off-page optimization.

I advise you should opt for the fast medium to spread a word about your website via Social Media Networking (facebook, Twitter, linkedin) . Do post RSS feed of same to your website. Also do blogging at wordpress, blogger, blogspot, vox etc. but do not forget to interlinked all posts with social media accounts like facebook and twitter.

Do competitor analysis, check the back-links of competitor sites and try to place your link where your competitor is already getting. Keep your seo activities regularly.

Submitting article with different article submission site and press release submission site will also help. Rest assured that you will going to include your link to the body of your article and make a good and catchy niche.

You need to get more and more high quality back links and other than this you need to increase your site traffic which you can do easily through socail networking sites

check your competiror domain age... sometimes you need to do more if other had older domain

I am doing this now but I am a new one learning SEO, hope to get advice from you. Thank you.

For improve your website position you will do forum posting, blog comment, articles and blog creation etc

If the competitor has a higher amount of links in his Resource page, why not copy the link directories and find yourself some more?
