I am new to forum posting. if i reply to no. of threads and post a new thread,then due to signature i get a backlink.

Is it valid to get multiple link from a forum?

If you take links from Forum you will not any bad effect on your site until backlinks from Forums or Blog Comment is best way to get one links from your site.

Its good to take the back link from forum but before start posting read the forums rule. Every forums have there rules if you don't follow them than they banned your account or sometime delete your posts also.

Yeah it is very useful for your website to get backlinks from forums but you should be careful about that you are going to put your website link in its related forums ..For example if your website talks about Car products then you can post and keep signature in that kind of forums it will be helpful for you and you will also get a backlink from that..

I actually asked MOGMartin that same question a few days ago.
Basically, if the links point to the same URL, only the first anchor text will be used by search engines, if you want to use multiple keywords to go to the same site, point them to different URL's, ie a different page on your site.

the derivation of your links, be it from an original post or a response makes little difference.

There is weighting towards early external links in documents, but we are talking about a fractional amount.

however, multiple links per page do not increase the weight that is carried through. only the first link counts.

Before post a comment on any thread you must read the Terms & Conditions of any forum site.

It is valid and allowed.Their is no harm in getting multiple links from a single forum.Most of the links from forum get indexed.Forum signatures have more value in terms of Search Engine Ranking.

From my point of view it is valid.
Actually i have seen too many link builder which are contribute 4 to 5 post in a forum....But i am always like to contribute in huge number.
