I was hoping someone could help me with the SEO of my website... dogcurve(dot)com

Any tips or advice? I am trying to rank for anything dog training related.

You need to perform a keyword research first using the Google Adwords Keyword tool. "dog training" is highly competitive. You have to find keywords that have high search volume but low competitor pages in Google SERPs.

Optimize your page content for the target keywords and build links from other sites using the target keywords as anchor text.

You have to do On-page Optimization like you have to ensure that your page title is appropriate to the particular page content , then you have to keep a good and better description for your site.

Try targeting longer tail keywords. Use the keyword synonym tool on the Google Adwords Keyword Research Tool to generate a larger list of relevant terms, look at the traffic (searches for those and pick/choose the ones you feel are related to what your blog is about). Make sure to make a list of keywords you want to target. Use those works in your blog titles, posts, all tags, etc for on site optimization. You will also need to do off site optimization which is going out and creating links back to you site, whether it is to participate in commenting on other blogs or forums, that usually help with your ranking.
