Do you think if a website’s Code is WC3 validated code it will get higher priority or advantage from all competitor who don’t have WC3 validated code. Please give me your feedback.
W3C validation is not a factor that search engines look into when ranking websites. However, having your HTML valid according to the W3C ensures that your website will run fluently on any browser. This is an important factor for your target market because if your site would only work on, let's say, FireFox, there are some chance that it would have some errors in running in other browsers such as IE. Since the most widely used browser today is IE, therefore, site visitors using IE would navigate away from your site when they see your site full of errors. That is the reason why W3C validation is important for websites.
The reason its important for your site to be W3 valid is so bots can actually browse your site correctly and accurately, if a bot can't crawl your site properly then obviously i "could" affect SERPs.
[QUOTE=replysanjay;22040]Google has clearly stated that W3C validation does not affect search engine rankings

Yes I agree with this point..........
W3C Validation is useful for maintain HTML standards and for proper coding activities. It helps for SE to understand coding structure and content caching also. Somebody used for trust worthiness also.. I suggest all website will follow w3c standard.
Whilst currently W3C validation doesn't have a direct effect on a SE's ranking of your website, it is still important that your code does validate.
One reason for this is that it is simply good practice. Why would you waste time writing code that wasn't valid? Have some pride in your work.
Secondly, whilst there is no reported DIRECT effect, there is a huge in-direct effect: Like them or loathe them, links ARE an important part of SEO. People will only link (directly or via social mediums) to your website if they like it. If your site doesn't look or work correctly they are less likely to link to it. The more people that can correctly view and access your website the more people will "spread the word". And that WILL have a positive and direct effect on your SEO strategy.
Thirdly, and this is similar to point one, it is very likely that in the not-to-distant future, search engines will start adding W3C compliance to their algorithms so it makes far more sense to start now.
Forth: See point one.
SEO is not just about the search engines; it is about the visitor too. Without them you are not going to do very well. If you want links to your website then you need to please the visitor.
Hi,
W3C validation directly does not make much effect on rankings but it make indirect effect. W3C validation is the process of remving unnecessary codes and errors from web pages. This process make web pages lighter with relevant code without any error so you are making your website more Search engine freindly that will certainly help in SEO.
Please go with W3C validation if your website is static in nature.

I am also agree with this point that WC3 validation code is not a ranking factor but it effects the site's reputation. When a visitor sees that this site is WC3 validated then he will come again and stay more time on the site.
