What do you think can give a best result..on page or off page optimization??

off page optimization no doubt gives result but initially it is required to do proper on-page to give starting push...

You cannot get proper or best result, if you left any of the two.

You have to work on both on parallel basis.

In my opinion, proper on page optimization makes a good search engine rankings while off page optimization makes your site increase its popularity and increase traffic of websites coming from referrals or other websites.

According to me both on page and off page are equal important for each and every site. i found lot's of site that haven't do any on page seo but he is Google ranking and with 1 or2 page rank.

Both On Page and Off Page Optimization are required for best results in major search engines...On Page is the initial step to get indexed and earn a better reputation...Off page is the secondary step which will get benefited by on-page optimization...

Depends on the level of competition - for non competitive searches (eg bathroom and local town) I can often rank well with just onpage seo and a few scrappy links.

If you're up against sites with lots of incoming links, then you too need to get linking - but yes, do onpage seo as well.
